Your presence is the best present, so please don't bring one. As we did last year, instead of gifts we're collecting money for an orphanage in Malaysia. From what we raise, $80 goes to the two gifts Gaia has picked out, the pyjamas and the water bottle, wrapped and waiting at the party with one big card for everyone to sign. With the rest, we'll buy gifts and other essentials for the underprivileged kids at the orphanage. Gaia wants to share her birthday with children who don't have birthday parties.
Any amount works.
Last year, we raised $1,100 from Gaia's and Luna's (Gaia's sister) birthdays and delivered joy and happiness to the children at Yayasan Sayap Ibu in Jakarta, an orphanage that takes care of children with disabilities. The money went to essentials for the orphanage and toys the kids wouldn't otherwise have gotten, chosen by Gaia for each child.
